Chef’s Best 2019
Hosted by ACT in Faith of Greater West Chester, this year marks the eight celebration of the Chef’s Best food competition. Come try out some of the best dishes from local restaurants and chefs, including last year’s winner—Saloon 151—Goose Creek Grill, Ram’s Head Bar and Grill, and Chadds Ford Tavern.
Tickets for admission are currently on sale for $60 and will get you samples from all of the competing eateries.
Phillies’ Home Opener
With spring finally here, it’s time to kick off America’s favorite past-time! This year, the Phillies will be hosting their home opener at Citizens Bank Park on March 28th, where they’ll be facing off against the Atlanta Braves.
Last year, the Phillies finished with a third-place ranking in the National League East, with the Braves clenching the top spot—so this month’s game will be a tough matchup!
Women-Owned Food Truck Festival
Wine, food trucks, craft beer, cold brew—have we piqued your interest? Head out to the Chaddsford Winery on Saturday, March 30th for the highly anticipated Women-Owned Food Truck Festival! The event is totally free to attend—although you will have to pay for food and drinks.
Attendees can expect a killer food truck line-up, live music, wine tasting, and more. Check out the roster for the weekend, and scope out your menu for the day!
Every year, the Smith Memorial Playground and Playhouse celebrates its seasonal grand opening with their Play-A-Palooza event. Live performances, Soccer Shots, a PBS Kids Pop Up, and more—the over 6 acres of the park will be filled with family-friendly fun and tons of activities!
Tails and Trails 5K Run/2K Walk
Lace up your shoes and celebrate a good cause with the Tails and Trails 5K Run/2K Walk, a family (and pet) friendly annual event. The course winds through rolling hills, countryside, farmland, and more, making for stunning scenic views as you sweat it out. The run/walk also include an after-party with food, drinks, raffles, and adoptable animals, so stick around after you finish!
Flavors On the Avenue 2019
While Flavors On the Avenue doesn’t happen until the end of April, it’s one of the most popular food festivals in the city. Sprawling across five blocks, —from Broad Street to Dickinson Street—the festival will feature dozens of award-winning restaurants, local craft beer, live entertainment, and more.
While the restaurant list hasn’t officially been announced yet, you won’t want to miss out on this popular annual event.
